Was in my driveway this afternoon trying to change my cps. I say try because I used every little technique on how to get that thing out that I could find on this site and else where and nothing worked. Finally the end of it completely broke off and it fell apart. now part of it is still stuck in the hole down about 1/8 of an inch or so. I have no idea what to do or how to get it out. I am afraid of banging on it to hard or drilling it out. Now I am stuck in a tight spot without my truck. Please help me out.

Well nothing that a lost temper, a couple of screws, a dremel tool, and a pry bar couldn't fix. I got it out finally and it is amazingly very clean now. The only problem is that I got the wrong sensor from cummins, told them it was the wrong one but they insisted. Does anyone know the right part number for a 2000 2500.

Usually Cummins wants the CPL off the engine data plate. First thing they ask for when I go in there. Did you give them that info. ?
