Archived HELP! dead on interstate 65

Driving south on interstate 65 with a trailer in tow. I was going up hill when the truck quit running without a sputter. I have all electric. Truck turns over very fast. no fire. Just got fuel 20 miles ago.



92' 1 ton drw auto 236,000 miles 4x2. KN, Exhaust, Turned up fuel pump. Just put new alt. and fixed a stuck heat grid relay,

Fuel injection pump shut-down solenoid OR the wire simply fell off.



You can remove the solenoid (if it's bad) and pull out the rubber plunger then reinstall it. You'll have to shut off the engine with the manual lever.

This sounds too fishy to be coincidence. Are you sure you got #2?

Fixed... Thanks Scott. Wire on fuel shut off solenoid was badly oxidized. cleaned, reinstalled, and boom. She purrs like a kitten... or some animal with a little more rumble. Thanks for everyones responce..... Joe
