Ok, if a guys wants to pull a sled every once in a while, and drag race on occasion... plus pull heavy trailers when necessary...

... and has between 400-500hp.

What would be a good setup in terms of chargers?

Driveablility, EGT's, and good low end is the main focus here.

It seems that a single charger for that type of HP would be laggy, so bottom end would suffer... and I don't think a 40 would do the job, especially since I'm striving for 500.

Would twins be a better alternative?

Please provide some input!

Thanks.

I did over 500 H. P. with an H2E turbo and pulled my 12,000# trailer. This turbo is laggy even with an 14cm wastegated housing by Pius. For what you want to do twins is the only way to go.

B1 quick spool

indestructable and cools down fast, I never have to wait on it even after highway trips. I have also never lost boost up a hill with 18k in tow. Good stuff, but ofcourse twins are the cats meow

You can run a KSB1B but at 500 hp you are at the top range of its efficiency curve. Twins are awesome but at 500 you don't need a B1/B2 setup. The cheaper alternative (and good spoolup) would be somthing in the beefed up hx35/ht3b or even a hx40/ht3b. Wastegate the smaller turbo with a adjustable (air works awesome) wastegate and you got it. . :D :D :D
