My passenger door wont open . Lubbed it brake/carb cleaned it . Looks like the latch is working just door wont open . I think i can see some white plastic where the pin is ? any ideas ? Thanks

Educated men can spell "their".

Two possibilities with the door. One, it's locked. Try both knob and key to unlock it in case a link has come loose to one of them. Two, the latch mechanism is broken or both unlock links have come loose. There's a plastic vent on the rear of the door which gives you access to the latch - but you have to have the door open to reach it. You're probably going to have to remove the interior door panel with the door closed and reach the latch from inside. This will be a PITA.

To me it would be a PITA but Phillip did this very same thing at SOP and didn't even break a sweat while he puffed away on a cigar. :)

The times I have had this happen brake cleaner loosened the latch enough for me to get the door open. Then remove the door panel. Then clean some more and oil good.

I did it on my truck at SOP #3. Talking about making a person red faced. I had 2 people in the truck then it wouldn't let them out. :-laf:-laf

Case500D also had the same problem a few times with his truck. We hit the latch hard with brake cleaner and got it working. About the 4th time he finaly pulled the panel and did it right. :-laf:-laf

Dodge used white lubriplate for lube on the latches. After almost 15 years it hardens up and the latch binds up. I have had the same problems with GM C series trucks also.

Got the door open . truck did not come with key well it is broken in ignition the key lock bar was stuck took about 25 mins to fix Thanks guys
