Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Help: FASS w. ITP?

Posting for Bro. Working on '02 with DC ITP "fix". Installing FASS. Do I need a new pickup assembly without the ITP, or can I hook up and pull through the ITP pickup? Whats the "right way?"



If a new(old style) pickup assembly is needed, anybody got a PN? We're

thinkin about junkyardin a pickup assembly if we need to.



Any responses will be as he's planin to get it in this weekend before hittin the road next week.

I know of a guy who quoted 2 hours on a FASS install and was not told about the dead ITP. After 6 hours of head scratching, the owner told them about the ITP, so no, you cant pull fuel through it.

Do you know if I can just remove the pump and hook the pickup screen directly to the down tube, or will we need a new pickup assembly?



(never been inside an '02 tank before. If it looks like what I've seen before, it could be done. crossing fingers. )

Probably make your own pickup if you're handy... leave that pump as a backup.
