2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission help finding parts

my license plate lights (2) I need to replace the bulbs, socket/wire harness for both sides. no parts stores I have found have these except the local dodge store. they want 15. 00 per wire harness. and 12 per outer bulb housing that attaches to the rear plastic shell holding the license platethe bulbs I can get at a parts store. has anyone replaced these from a diff source. thanks

When you want new factory parts try Mopar Parts, Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge Parts. Accessories and Performance I was kind of promoting someone else and recently it became evident they was not as good as MOPARPARTS.

I replaced mine from a wrecking yard. Real cheap, about 3 or 4 dollars each complete. Then I put in LED bulbs to keep the heat down since it appeared the originals were destroyed by bulb heat.

I got the LEDs on-line. Autolumination.com or superbrightleds.com. Both good sources. I just choose the cheapest for what I'm buying.

Did you tell them It was for its Internet pricing ?

If not You've been charged the same price as a dealer would charge you .

So if you didn't you need to call them back And tell them It's for Internet pricing , You have to tell them it's for the Internet pricing .

So try them again, I promise it's much cheaper .

that is what I told the first lady I spoke with and then the guy after i even said I am part of TDR and trying to get a cheaper price through the enternet... hum... . he also told me there is 2 styles for the wire harness and the price diff on both styles were about 2. 00 apiece. . so I will keep checking. thanks

i just sourced a headlamp assembly from a number of online vendors and found the cheapest price at oemdodgeparts.com. don't know if this helps, but it is worth a few clicks of the mouse to find out. also, for items that cheap (~$20 or so), your savings online may be eaten up in shipping = buy locally. regards, steve whalen

sorry yeah I screwed the pooch on that post. sourceautomotive. biz is the diesel shop I go to the place I got the harness and outer cover shells was Toll-Free: 1-800-748-2139 (Ask for Internet Parts) I think its out of new mexico. I didnt get the part # I just gave them my vin # and they looked it up since there is 2 styles for our 2nd gen years pending the style of bumper you have. hope this clears it up for you GAmes.

I got my 2 license plate light harness with bulbs and the outer cover bezels shipped 2 (day)s ups and it cost me 25. 00 this was 110. 00 at local dealer. the new replacements fit perfect this time I covered them with dia/grease.
