I need advice from others that might have been through this:

Last Thursday, truck pukes antifreeze from #6 cylinder area. Take it to the dealer, tell then it came from freeze plug area under 6, they say OK, we'll get to it. I call them Friday, they still can't find the leak. Call them Monday, that mechainc only works 4 days a week. Call them Tuesday, they tell me they are going to replace the therm and the therm gasket (!?). I tell them that won't fix it, but oh well. They call me this morning, sure enough, the leak looks like it is coming from freeze plug under #6. Now the truck won't be ready until next tuesday. No loaner (I didn't purchase the extended, even though truck only has 30k on it now).

While I want the truck fixed, and understand it takes time, I think this is poor. The least they can do is provide a loaner.

I have called the 800 customer service number, and got stuck on eternal hold.

Help!!??!!

Anybody have a number to call. I would be happy with just a loaner until then. I live in the St. Louis area.

I don't know what their problem is. The flat rate book gives . 5 hour for freeze plugs plus time for access. (If is behind the starter . 7 to R&R starter) Cummins uses steel plugs so rusting out can be a problem.

I hate to say this, but my truck had the same issue. However, my dealer gave me a loaner. I would raise #$@. They should give you a loaner at no cost to you.

Big A

I thought the

3/36 warranty provided a loaner, but then agn being... .

Da diesel-less SOTSU!!

wat would I know. . ck your owners manual for the warrranty or call a different dealer for the specifics or call and talk to a sales person (name, etc) then talk to the service mgr and so&so said the warranty does cover a loaner.....
