Just take the old one off with a filter wrench, you may have to unplug the water sensor on the bottom of the filter. If you cannot get a filter wrench on it I have taken a hammer and a chisel to loosen it up where I could get it off by hand. When you get it off you can put the water sensor on the new filter. Put clean diesel fuel on both seals,(make sure you get the old small seal off of the filter base).
Put the new one on but don't tighten it down leave enough of a gap to let air out. Pump the primer pump located stright under the filter on the block (I use a 18 inch 3/8 drive extention so I do not have to shove my arm down in there). Pump the primer until fuel starts comming out, tighten the filter hook up the sensor wire up, then start the engine should run.
Thats how I change my filter on my 95 I think its the same? If not someone tell me?
