I installed my FASS 95/95-1008 this past weekend and cannot get the fitting at the CP3 to stop leaking. We're not talking fuel pouring out or anything like that. After the truck sits for a half hour or so, I'll have a spot on the ground below the CP3 about 2 to 3 inches across. During the initial installation I torqued the fitting and the elbow to the instruction specified 18lb-ft of torque. I used an inch pound torque wrench as my lb-ft torque wrench only goes down to 20. That conversion netted me a torque of 216 in-lb of torque (18x12). I have since put a wrench to both fittings and tightened further to no avail. I have a PM into LowFly (Jim) at FASS and I talked to Andy at Geno's but right now as far as I am concerned my truck is a dead stick. My next step was to remove the injection pump fitting and very carefully wrap teflon sealing tape around the threads and then re-torque that fitting. I don't know if the tape would help the 90 degree fitting. I told Andy the FASS is putting 17-18 PSI into the CP3 and he indicated that was not excessive for the CP3. I did drain the OEM fuel and bagged it. I also emptied the OEM fuel filter cannister. The area around the the injection pump inlet fitting is where it is "moist".
Does anyone have any suggestions or have experienced this with their FASS installation?
