I think if you buy from SBC then the hydro upgrade kit comes with it, at least that what it says in the TDR issue 53 page 101, but it also says that all required parts are included on page 100, who knows.

I have no idea if the flywheel is supposed to be completely dry or not, hopefully someone else will chime in with some better knowledge, I will also give updates when I put my CON OFE in on Wednesday. I tried to go and get some bolts today but the parts department at the dealership was closed today, no big deal, I got time ;)

Peter from SB called today and the bolts for the flywheel are supposed to come in the kit so dont worry about it SEwing... ... . Check your boxes if you have them already and see if they have the bolts in there, peter said they should.....

On another note you wanna talk about a company with excellent customer service, i cant even describe SB customer service... ... Peter went above and beyond for me, i cant thank the guy enough for what he has done to make this right... ...

Just a quick note, the hydro upgrade kit does not come with the kit, Peter said that its about 50/50 if you will need it, I need it. I am waiting on it to arrive on monday. It does shift without it, just not too well. Peter at SBC is a great guy and guided me thru the install without a problem and this clutch is incredible, it feels like I have 50-75 more horsepower just because there is so much less losses in the clutch.

Have you guys with the SBC upgrade noticed quicker starting? Any need for the Fluidampner upgrade? While it should be the same, any mileage difference?

I don't think there is a need for the fluid dampener, but I would check with Peter at SBC just to tell him what you are running or planning on running and let him give you his inputs. Quicker starting, do you mean off the line or engine starting? I am going to guess off the line, I wouldn't say quicker but under much more control, you can feel what is going on so much better. I can't imagine what it will be like once I get the hydro upgrade kit in. Mileage, not sure yet, still on the same tank that I was on when I put it in, I am guessing that it about the same.

I was curious about engine starting. I figured the slow/intermitent start was associated with the DMF. If that's eliminated would the engine start be faster?

Engine starting hasn't changed, I think I got lucky, mine has never had a problem starting, and without the hydro kit I have to shut off the truck to go between reverse and 1st or 2nd or vice versa and then restart. I can't wait till that shows up on Monday.
