About the same as the Dakota I just bought my wife- right @ 1 month from order to delivery. It came in 5 days before it was supposed to be built!

Congrats on the new delivery - Sorry to hear it was premature.
I would suggest placing an ad in your local paper, using traderonline.com and classifieds2000.com. The last 2 are free if done right. Ebay seems to be working for people as well.

The truck was scheduled for build 8/2 and delivery was for 9/15. (i thought 6 weeks was fast!)

The truck was finished on 7/28 and was turned over to shipping on 7/31. You can say I was a little surprised when I called for the status on 8/3 and they said that it had already be turned over to Union Pacific Railroad. I was expecting them to say "Sir, we have not even started to build it yet!", not that "oh, that truck is done and gone now". Ovbiously it didn't spend any time in the QA department.

The sad part is that I will be in Boston when the truck is ready. #ad
I will have to bond with it when I return home. (my truck, not the wife!) #ad

Hadly's trucking said that it was in there yard today and I could pick it up today, but I told the dealer that I will pick it up next Thursday at the dealership.

Hope your doing good with the mobility. Let the orders stack up at the factory for a while and then place the order. I'll be up your way in October (in the new dually) and we'll see if we can make it up to your house again.

Bummer about the extra vehicle , use it for a crush test when the beast arrives.

David_VT... I understand that there is an option code that allows a $$ fee and you can use any current color. . try for patriot blue. .

David, I'm in Boston now and my schedule is too tight for sight seeing. The one thing did notice (besides the crazy accents) is that there is alot more Cummins diesels here than in LA. I here that Vermont in better than Mass. Someday I shall see for myself.

Gary, Were you able to make any head way with the special order paint job? I see some really strange paint jobs that come from the factory and you know that they paid extra for it.

Man... There are just no fish bitten on this thread. They just swim by and some stop and say HI. I think the Forum Police might can it for being pointless.
