I got a 1998,,, 12 v ,,,48 r automatic,, here's the trouble. . Starts off normal,,shifts normal,,,until time to shift into high gear. . Run's 55 mph @ 2000rpm,,,, had this trouble,,, 3 weeks ago and it fixed itself. . Now it's doing this again... If,,, you have had this trouble or fixed this trouble ,,,let me know what to ..... thanks radar doctor...

55mph @ 2k RPM would be a normal engine speed if you had 4:10 axles.

Is the trans acting like it is slipping?

Fluid levels?

Last fluid and filter change?

How many miles on the trans?
