Don't have the trip computer overhead. Haven't found any screws, seems to be held from the back by something. Gotten the front loose, just not the rear of the console. Thanks.
 
I take it you found the two screws in front. The back is held on by a clip in each side. You have to pry straight down to pop them off. They break off pretty easy. I've had to glue mine back on. :rolleyes:

Uh, well not really. :( You remove the two screws and hold that portion down and then SLIDE the assembly back and it comes out as intended. Don't break those ears off, that's why it slides out on them! Ooops. :eek:
 
My 96 + 97 both slide, I found out the hard way after breaking the tabs off on the 96 but super glue works pretty good for the repair
