sell me just the boot that i tore up yesterday getting my track bar off. the new bar didn't come with a boot. i will call lindstad alignment (recommended here) to see if they can get me one. anyone know where to get one of these things? thanks. scott.

better not tear that boot up getting the track bar off. i had to buy a rinky dink one at napa. it will hopefully keep the water out but nowhere near as nice as the oem.

the dealer thing is a scam. what do you think the mechanic does when he tears one up... . he goes in the back and gets one!! if anyone knows the mfg of these things, please let me know. thanks.

scott.

He probably reinstalls the torn one. I used to carefully clean and patch the tears with sealant since I could never find a new boot. I see now some of the urethane bushing companies are making urethane boots. I have a set on my jeep, I don't know if they would work in this app. or if they make one. Check Four Wheel Parts Wholesalers or some other off road supplier.

Yeah, he takes one off the trackbar he sold you, your new bar should have come with a boot.

well i bought mine from a place in south dakota. i mean, look... . it's a small rubber boot. what lay person would of thought this was a - "you get hosed" piece??

illflem... . did your napa one come with a new boot?

the only reason i bought a lindstad alignment bar was because they have an adjustable ball. i. e. you can tighten it down as it wears. i thought this was neat. came recommended here on the tdr. oh well.

i learned. i got a piece of crap dust boot on there now. would love to put on a real one.

thanks. scott.

I worked in an alingment shop for a few years, never, ever did any suspension part, tie rod, track bar, pitman arm, ball joint, drag link, etc,, not come with a new boot. We never, ever reused an old boot.
