It's looking like the VP44 is on it's way out and I have no idea how to rplace it. I'm pretty mechanically inclined so I'm ok with doing it but I never have and was wondering if there is anyone in central to northern CA that knows how and is willing to help a brother out.

Many thanks... :D

I figured on doing it at my house in Pleasant Hill but I am open to other suggestions. :D

Probably be doing it next week.

I could zoom down there after work next week and help it pretty easy it only took me 3 hours and that was my first deisel experance. any night but wensday

AWESOME!!! I really appreciate it. I will work around whatever night works for you. Just let me know.

Are there any special tools we'll need that I need to get or anything I should be prepared with (gas can of diesel, pizza, beer?) Just let me know and be sure to get your truck here on "E" so I can fill it for ya!

Thanks a ton!

Sebastian

Ok I was in vegas the last part of last week. How does thurs. night sound? I think it will take me an hour to get there. so I should be there aound 5:00. The only Special tools are: 19 mm or 3/4" crows foot, torque wrench, two bolt puller and a big torx bit. And from the looks of your sig a freakin ladder! I could bring all those things if you like. On a side note, do you have a stock boost elbow i could borrow? My number is 707-321-2965.

Thursday sounds great as long as my pump is here by then. I ordered it on line and I assume it will be but I can't say for sure. I have some of those tools so it might be a good idea for you to bring them just in case. ( I do have a step ladder:D)

By boost elbow, do you mean that little vacuum actuator looking thing on the turbo?

Oh, I don't think that my truck (2001) had one of those to begin with but I'm not sure. If I do have one, you are welcome to it.

Let me know if it gets here in time. The boot elbow screws into the turbo housing in the front side below the intake tube. With a rubber hose that runs over to the waste gate actuator.

Um, I'll look but I dont recall having a boost elbow when it was stock. You want my turbomaster? I haven't recieved the pump yet but I'm going to call tomorrow to see about a tracking number to find out if it will be here on time. Would a day next week work for you if it doesn't make it?

well i could do it thurs night but next week would be better if you could wait that long. I am racing in santa maria this weekend so need to have car ready sooner. let me know

Next week is no problem. It's still running!:D

Just let me know what day and time works best for you and I'll work around it.

Thanks
