Hi Everyone,
I've been reading for free here for a couple of months and finally joined. And, I want you to know that I HOLD ALL OF YOU FULLY ACCOUNTABLE for costing me a lot of money!!!(LOL)
Here goes: I finally ordered a diesel (currently have a '98 4X4 V10 w/AT and love it); anyway, the diesel is due to arrive in a couple of weeks and I really would like to find one or more KNOWLEDGEABLE persons or shops in the Reno, NV area to help me get this new rig set up "right". I have tentatively agreed to have the following installed before I take delivery: Nerf bars, Diablo chip, HD rear bumper sprayed with black Linex material, Linex bed liner, taller tires (& speedo recalib). I want gages, but am unsure what to buy... obviously I want them to look good (not cheapo add-on appearing).
I also intend to follow a lot of the advice I've read here, so, in time, I will add a good air filter, AMS/OIL by-pass oil filter system, AMS/OIL lubes thru out, etc. But I need help in the area of adding some of these things and doing it so the engine lives a long healthy life #ad
! Banjo bolt modification, turnbuckle mod on wastegate, and auto trans mods to name a few.
The new truck will be a white regular cab, SLT, 4x4, w/AT and the HD transfer case.
All help and advice is greatly appreciated!!
Thanks.

Carson Dodge is one of those rare dealers that will bomb your truck for you. They will install just about anything that you mentioned and more. They are BD, Banks, and Amsoil dealers. Their policy is to go to the aftermarket vendor if there is a warrantee issue. I have also heard good things about Sierra Diesel. Stay as far away from Reno Dodge as possible. Most of the guys in town tend to work on their trucks themselves.
