HELP...Injector Install

I have installed new injectors and am ready to tighten down the injector retainers. How do I verify that the injectors are seated all the way down? Is there supposed to be a gap between the head and the retainer?

If you can get the retainer on over the injector it is seated. Make shure the fuel inlet on the injector is properly oriented. Be sure to have an lbsin torque wrentch. yes there needs to be a space between the retainer and the outside retainer boss so that when it is torqued that much force is on the injector to keep it seated.
What inj's are you installing.
I hope you did not pull all the injectors at once. Best to do them one at a time. Not a big deal but it is nice on the first install to have the next one to compair.

Whew... ..... Thanks. I finally got everything installed and took it out for a test drive. WOW is all I can say. Those injectors made all the differance in the world. Can't wait to tow. The injectors are DD1's.
