I just saw an add in the local paper for a pick-up that was identical to mine (close). It was $3000. 00 more than I paid new. Couldn't believe it. That doesn't mean the dealer wouldn't have come down on it a little but still... ...

At this point in time though... I wouldn't sell my truck for what that dealer was asking... . so I guess it's worth every penny. As a matter of fact I wouldn't sell or trade this rig for anything (with in reason).

If you like that truck... get it.

Ill have to agree have an 02' 3500 could honestly say $50,000 wouldnt even touch it. REASON: it had 84 miles on it when I bought it new, it now has 13,300 and its over 2yrs old now, it has the mexican block, and IMO a much beefier truck than the new ones!!! New ones are great cause they are dodge Cummins trucks, I drove my buddies 04 6 gear and I can honestly say mine feels much more like a truck... . itll hold more weight and I wouldnt have a 6 speed sewn to my butt!!! Just dont like shifting Im lazy:D Plus my auto is quicker than his truck(with more power too) for obvious reasons.

I would have NEVER sold my 2000-3500 if for the fact of the #53 block,it is a shame,it was a great truck:(

That is a shame. Yes, there have been instances of #53 block problems, but 99. 9+% are problem free regardless of what you do with them. Yeah, I was a little dissappointed when I saw those haunting numbers on both sides of my block, but I am not going to loose sleep over it. The only precaution that I take is that I frequently change the coolant, but I do that anyway.
