Hey gang really happy to be a member. I wasn't sure if I would find the answers I was looking for because my truck is a Freightliner with the 24V ISB but from what I have read there is a huge pool of guys with alot more knowledge then I have! First off I bought a wrecked truck that ran great. That is until I moved the fuel tank back where it belonged and sorta smashed the line going to the lift pump. Without knowing what I had done I starved the fuel going to the injection pump. The lift pump has now been replaced and If I "drive it like I stole it" everything is great. It's when I slow down and try to maintain a steady speed or sit at a light with the clutch in that the check engine light comes on. When that happens I either rev up my motor just a smidgen or lift out on the clutch pedal and the check engine light goes out. When the light comes on I am not able to accelerate and that means no turbo! When the light goes off everything goes back to normal. Also I must say after the screw up with the lift pump it now takes a long time to start. Once it's running and shut down it has no problem starting back up. One more thing I noticed that the back 3 injectors are leaking. I'm sure that is not good and may be the reason the thing is hard to start. I noticed that the first 3 that don't leak look like they have a little space between where the injector line screws onto the injector tube but the back ones are smack dab up against the head. Could someone have tightened them too tight? I removed one of the tubes and couldn't see anything wrong with the o ring. At this point I realized I might have two issues and would like to take care of the leak first. I understand that it's just as bad to overtighten the lines as it is to undertighten them. At this point should I replace the injector or just the injector tubes? And is there a good source to buy the parts that I need other then the dealer? One thing I did notice on the one tube I removed is that it had a little rough spot on the threads on the tube. I'm leaning more toward finding out why and how the back ones are so much closer cause that would mean the tube might be pushed in too far into the injector itself. Wow I guess you can tell I'm lost as to what to do. Sorry to take up so much space but I could sure use advice what to do next. Thanks to any and all who can help. ben
