I went through the fuel return line thing about six months ago. I thought my prime problems were gone. Well, twice today, I lost prime. Each was after parking on a slight incline for less than 10 minutes. When I pumped the primer button, it was wet with diesel. Any ideas?

Sounds like your lift pump bit the big one. More specifically, the seal (probably an O-ring) around the primer button.

Or,there is a line that goes from the output of the strainer/heater assembly to the lift pump. Take a good look see. It might be easier with the filter out of the way.

I replaced mine with a piece of standard fuel hose, don't recall the size.

Hope this helps.

Jim, the transfer pump definitely bit the dust. Mine did at 70K and I got one at the local Cummins Dealer. The repair is easy... even easier if you remove the fuel filter.
