I need all your expert advise. New to forum, been lurking awhile and have found this as a great source for my truck.

Now the problem, Have a 2000 Dodge all stock, about 56k miles, and last night driving back from Denver lost all my power going up Georgetown hill. Had no problem climbing up lookout mountian, which is steeper.

I could feel the turbo kick in for a second, but would loose it, and crawled up the hill.

I checked the hoses coming off the bottom and they seem fine.

Oh, one more thing, I could hear a buzz under the dash when I would put the accelerator to the floor.

Thanks in advance for all your advise.

turbo

Mine does that on occasion. I let off the throttle and push it back down to get it to work again. It sounds like your APPS. (Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor)Disconnect batteries for 30 minutes and reset your apps by turnung the ignition switch on and pushing the accelerator pedal to the floor two times and see what that does.

Sounds like a problem I once had. It turned out to be a inner cooler hose blown off from the turbocharger. Later I had a partial blow off which yielded a similiar drop in power.

Well, one day at the dealer and still not working. Went to pick up last night after the dealer replaced the lift pump, only had 3 psi of fuel pressure, and started to drive home. Only they never test drove the damn thing and its still doing the same thing. Turned around and left it at the dealer. They will be getting and earfull this morning when the open. Thanks for all your help.

Well, if the lift pump only had 3 psi(at idel?) there is a good chance that the VP-44 flew south for a vacation along with the lift pump. If the VP-44 is starved of fuel long enough, lubrication and heat becomes a real issue.

Looks like you might get a new injection pump under warranty.
