I just got back from Kah-nee-ta Indain resort for the long weekend and the truck ran terrible

I was towing my 32' 5er, temps were in the upper 70's to lower 80's and I could not get any power out of the engine! I had to stop 3 times to let the engine cool. I can hear the fan kick in @ about 200* F but it doesn't pull the temp back down very fast. I had the DC dealer replace the coolant and flush the radiator 2k miles ago.

The thing that has me scratching my "almost"bald head is that I can't get more than 10-12#s of boost even without the trailer hooked on. There is a strange noise when you let off the go pedal that sounds like a big air leak?? Any help would be appreciated... thanks,

Dan

Dan:

Sounds like one of the hoses from your turbo to intercooler or intercooler to intake are loose. Recommend you check tightness on clamps.

I had my turbo to intercooler hose come off pulling my 5th wheel. Lost power, dropped down to max 35 MPH.

Hope this helps,

Wiredawg

Ditto on the comments above. Check all the connections between the turbo outlet and the intake horn. If you don't find a leak, check the gasket on the intake horn too. I would guess you have a hose that has slipped off a little.

I check my hoses and clamps at every oil change.

Thanks

I went out this morning and found that the clamp on the hose between the turbo and the intercooler was loose and that air was escaping out the bottom of the rubber section. No more loud noise under acceleration and 24-29# of boost :D . Thanks, Dan
