Howdy folks
Yesterday on the way home from work it seemed like I had to give the truck a little more throttle than usual, but the thing seemed to be running fine.
It started fine this morning but as I was backing out of the driveway the 'Check engine' light came on. I tried going on to work but ended up coming home as I didn't hardly have any power in 5th gear. I have a scanner, hooked it up and got the codes 1693 & 237. 237 is low boost, I checked all the rubber boots on the intake tract. Drove my gas guzzling Durango to work, stopped after work and picked up a new MAP sensor, installed, and reset the check engine light with the scanner. Went for a test drive and everything was well for about 5-6 miles then the light came on again, same codes present. I have replaced the fuel filter about 5000 miles ago, lift pump replaced about 2 months ago, reading a steady 14 psi on my cockpit installed gauge. I have a EZ edge box and boost elbow that has been on there for about 3 years don't know what happens if these things go bad? or do they go bad?? I might try unhooking the EZ box tomorrow night after work, I had a local performance diesel place install it, so I really dont know what I'm doing, I'm just hoping it isn't the VP44 any help is apprieciated.
