Anyone have an answer for this?

alright, my truck is really ******* me off. i thought my alternator went out on me, so i replaced it cuz it wasnt charging my batteries. well after i got the alternator on, my battieries were fried due to running it a little bit with the alt. being dead. everything was fine for a couple of days, but today i was only getting 12 volts instead of the usual 14 your supposed to get with the truck running. what the heck could be wrong with my truck? i have a 98. 5 5spd CTD. someone told me it could possibly be the regulator. Where is the regulator located on this truck and could that be my problem????? im really kind of lost with this electrical stuff and dont know what could be going wrong.

Check the grounds.

The voltage regulator is in the PCM, on the firewall behind the air filter.

Heater Grids stuck on? Feel the intake horn after a cold start and when the temp needle is on the move BUT NOT TO TEMP. Also There is usually discoloration associated with that too. Seccond that on Grounding!!!!! A#1 Cause of problems on 60% of Performance and electrical issues that go un checked. How is the Belt's condition!? Dried out belts slip silently and reduce accessory rpm's.
