would someone give me step by step instructions for removing silencer ring on my turbo????

Unless you've upgraded to a newer turbo, you don't have one. If it's in there, as soon as you take the intake hose off, you'll see it. It's around the outer edge and is held in place with a retainer clip. Just two pieces.

another question I have is my boost guage is only showing 5 pounds of pressure?

I looked around for any holes in my intercooler lines and the only thing I found was a small leak were my down pipe connects to the turbo. could this cause the lack of pressure, if not, anyone have any ideas???

5 lbs of boost is low. Check your boot by the raditor support on the turbo side. Run your hand along the bottom of the hose. It is very close to the frame at this point. It could have rubbed a hole on the bottom side.



If it feels good. Then you need to do a pressure test of the intercooler. It might be leaking. Do a search for intercooler leaks. It should turn up the list of needed parts to make up a kit to pressurize the intercooler.
