I have isspro ev egt, 40 psi boost and transmission temp gauges as well as an A pillar mount and a Mag Hytec transmission pan on the Big Brown Truck from DIS. While they are in transit, I'm trying to finalize the install plan. I understand the pre turbo thermocouple install instructions as well as boost gauge install using manifold plug procedure.

Piers boost fitting, worth $18 and the wait? Why? I'll mount the probe for the transmission in the pan till I decide what upgrades will be done to the auto transmission. Thanks to TDR bros, I have part # for '95 line. Will do that soon.

Q: I'm still unclear on how to remove the stock A pillar. It clips in, right? When removing, pull towards middle of windshield, towards steering wheel, or towards door? Don't want to break it while removing.

I currently have a Westach FP gauge in the cubby hole. Light for that is via tap on cup holder light. Can I run all my lights off that wire? I'll mount a fuse in there if I can determine what size fuse is needed. Better place to get lights for pillar? Worth a fuse tap and a terminal block? Tips for wiring ?

Thermocouple wire. Never seen one. Can length be modified + or - ? Sorry long post, but I've never been accused of being 'short winded'. ;) All advice and comments are welcome. Gages and a MTX Thunderform install this weekend. Oo.

Pull the a-pillar towards the center seat console, not towards the door, not towards the windsheild, but right inbetween.

You can run your lights off that wire, but it's real easy to tap the fuse block from the a-pilar. Also if you tap from the dash light fuse, your gauge lights will be dimmable.

Thermocouple cannot be lengthend, you can call and get a longer one though.

I haven't used Peirs' fitting yet, but I'm sure it's worth it, I will use it on customers trucks in the future.

Good Luck, Rob
