What's a stock 2004. 5 48RE 2WD transmission, converter and flex plate worth? When I bought my ATS transmission stuff I decided to keep all my stock components because I hadn't abused them. So there they sit in the back of my shop just like the stock turbo, air box and other gear that came off the truck collecting dust and not doing anyone any good. I think I remember a $1200 core on the transmission and $300 on the converter. I know it's a 2WD so that limits my market a bit.

:confused:

I'm reluctant to put the stuff on Flea-Bay because I don't want to go through the hassle of shipping the transmission. What would you do? Heck I even considered putting all the stock stuff back on the truck and trading it for something else.

My "garage queen" truck's only got about 52,000 miles, new Michelins and sits in my shop most of the time since I retired. Plus I kinda lost "mod bug" since I'm usually stuck in the traffic around Atlanta every time I go out. I either have to run the Edge on the lower settings or if I load the Smarty Programmer I have to "tip toe" around town to avoid having the anger of the soccer moms. :-{}

Should I punt????

Help I've fallen and can't get up -- what's your thoughts????

I turn the Smarty UP when I have to go up there. They ALL deserved to be smoked frequnetly. #@$%! Seven lanes of stupid at times... ..... :rolleyes:

Looks $1200-$1500 is about the going price for a low miles trans. These transmissions are out of production so the competetion is just going to get worse for the cores and parts.

Depends if you need room for more toys in the shop. ;)

Check with Garmon's in Griffin, Ga. He rebuilds them and also builds performance transmissions.

Garmons Diesel Performance Home

Keep grinnin,

Yeah I guess I ought to call Jeff. He was the one who repaired my ATS transmission after I took out the input shaft. I toured his shop, (which is frist class by the way), in April when I went to retrieve my truck. Jeff was just getting the last of the details set up for his performance tranmission rebuilding service.

I guess we Georgians are lucky to have Geno's Garage for parts and supplies on the northside of Atlanta and Jeff Garmon on the southside for performance work and repair.

Oo.

PS - Thanks for reminding me!!!
