I've got an 03 with 140,000 got a lot of blowby I mean alot. I found a cheap motor to put in it I have a 305 horse and this one is a 325 ho horse motor what is different and will it swap. Help truck is in need of attention in the worst way. Thanks zfstone

There are no bubbles in the coolant. A compression test won't be alot of help it could still be fried head gasket doubtful because of the volume of blow by or pistons and rings or cracked head or block. Can anyone tell me if the injectors and pump is the same with a 305 hp and a 325 hp or if it is all electronic. And possible if these injectors are prone to dripping and could possibly wash out the cylinder. I have no fuel in the oil though. I'm baffled and could use any insite on the matter.

This subject came up a while back. The injectors are a little different and the electronics are also. At some time they changed the throttle linkage--not sure what you have.

What s the CPL # of your engine, and the year and the CPL of the engine you 'found'? Are they auto or manual trans? You need to give use some info if you want help.

Have a friend that had a problem with his exhaust brake.

Caused a huge Blowby problem and after looking at all the engine parts. found out it was some stupid solenoid.

Does this have an Ex Brake?

Thanks guys I'll get the cpl #'s. The truck has no vacuum on it. And yes it does have an exhaust brake. Let me know some more about that. Yesterdst it was idling and it started to miss. Then it wouldn't fuel past 1700 or so. Today I was coming down to my shop about 3 miles and the oil pressure dropped off lights came on and a couple seconds later the oil pressure came back and was high about 70psi or so. Let me know what You think, and thanks to all who have spoken up.

Well we found out the injectors failed washed out the cylinders and now I need injectors and hopefully just rings. does anyone possibly know where i can find inexpensive injectors for an 03 common rail thank you.

Inexpensive and Common Rail do not mix, though they are cheaper than the HEIU injectors for the FlowerChokes.

the 325 motors have different pistons, injectors, turbos and elctronics. Best thing to do is tear into it. Pistons/rings cost around 150-165 a piece. Gaskets are about 600 for upper and lower kits if needed. Then figure in any machine work. You might as well get the head checked too while it is apart since the 24 V motor valve guides wear fast and are more likely to have heat cracks. If you need any help, PM me.
