Help me with these codes

Help me with these codes...P0606, 2149 and 0483

Let's start out by saying I have TST the origional version. I don't really have problems with codes except for maybe twice a year. I will go months with no problems and then all of a sudden with throw a code or the power number will flash on and off. The last problem I had was the power number flashing, it did it for about a week( that was really upsetting me), a whole week! (this was probably around last november) It has flashed maybe 2 other times, but it was only for 1 to 1 1/2 days. The second problem I have is that it has the "backfire" "misfire" that others have complained of and that is constant anymore(like about everyday to every other day).





I never tried to call or send back the box to TST, because I really didn't want to get the "I never heard or that before" It would of really ticked me off, because of how many threads that I read here before on lots of people having similar problems and calling them and recieved the above response.





I have had the TST on for about 70k miles now. Last night on my way home from work, I stopped off at the store. Upon leaving I went down the road about 1/2 mile and came to a stop at the light. coming to a stop the truck started sounding funny. The light turned and when I went to take off the truck sputtered and almost didn't move. I reached down (in a hurry) and put the setting back to zero and was able to take off. WHEW!! Well, after I got home read the codes and this is what came up



P0606 supposedly ecm/pcm processor

p0483 " fan

p2149 " fuel injec group B supply voltage circuit open



What does all this mean?

Anyone else ever come across these?

The folks at TST ar really nice and I doubt they would treat you that way. I also have the early TST and have at times had erroneous codes, although not since my last ECM update at Dodge for nuisance MIL lights. I don't know if that has anything to do with it, I doubt it.

None of the codes you list are common for the TST which usually consists of injector, cam or rational codes. There was a TSB for water getting into the ECM connectors, could be a place to start.

I don't know about the 03' but on my 05' I (and several others) had an issue with the wiring running to the ac condensor. The insulation rubbed off wich would cause some codes to be thrown. Something about the communications between the cummins and dodge computer not being able to talk. My windows wouldn't roll down. Don't know if its related or not but worth a check.

I had the cam/crank sensor ones before and but I didn't like what I found with the ecm/pcm processor and the injector codes. Didn't seem to have any other problems last night. But, come to think of it I have had my ac stop working a couple of times. all I had to do was shut the truck of and start it again for it to correct itself though.



For the codes I have, do I have the correct definitions?? Is there a list somewhere with all the codes listed (like a sticky somewhere on here)?

FIRST, I am trying to find out from people on here about these codes! I am not real concerned about the box at the moment, when it comes time I WILL call TST and talk about it. I have had the box on for 80k miles, couple more isn't gonna hurt. I Did try to talk to mark before I purchaced the box, I told him that I was going to purchase his box, I just wanted to get a little more info on the problems people were having with codes and what he was working on to correct that. He didn't want to talk about codes being thrown and didn;t really seem to concerned about discussing anything with me. Even though I was committed to purchase it when they were back in stock later that day.



I am not here to discredit or JUMP TO CONCLUSIONS. I was JUST wanting some info on my codes from my fellow CTD crowd. The rest is just a bit of history about the situation so someone may be able to help! I do not come on here to try and start fights with companies or put them down. I have had minor problems with the box since it bought it. I knew that before I bought it and have not come on here whining or complaining about it to anyone before and I am not starting now... Just looking for anyone elses experience with these codes!
