The problem with this is we have only found a Chebby. It looks like we might have to buy a Ninja Kawasaki, but she really wants a truck. Anyone seen a Dodge??

I have seen a Dodge, Jeep, Harley Davison, Chevys, and more at Toys-r-us, and Fred Myers last Christmas. They should still make them. Let the kid pick it, if it is for them..... is it?

Lets see... .....

Re-wire to handle 24 volts... ... .

New BIG electric motor..... maybe a Cummins starter will work... . :D

YEAH, a BOMBED Power wheels:D :D :D

Probably will STILL outpull a Powerchoke or Duracrap.

Gotta love it, there's a little "Tim the Toolman Taylor" in all of us :D :D All it takes to produce a little happiness is MORE POWER!!!!

I haven't seen a Dodge yet, but both of my girls have the 'Barbie' jeeps. Actually, pretty cool, plenty of power/speed for when they are small (Hmmm, maybe I should bring one down for the next dyno run :D ). Now that would be a good pic. ;)

Fisher-Price doesn't presently make a Dodge. I believe someone else does though. I'm sure I saw one last christmas. My kids are way too old for it... But many years ago, I bought one. I got a 12V version Safari Jeep. My kids drove it a lot, and other than it's propensity to blow fuses WAY too much, it was a lotta fun. It would go through deep grass, gravel, and even climb small hills with the kids in it.

If you look under it, it's powered by 2 very small motors. These are roughly what you find in cordless drills or other cordless equipment. I do believe you can find motors with the same form factor with quite a bit more power - and batteries as well.

And heck, YES, we can bomb a Fisher-Price too!

If you get the motor numbers from it, the people who build robotics stuff can probably find some more powerful motors. A little fabricating and you could build one that had enough speed and power to be more than an embarrassment :)

We already have the Barbie Jeep, which my six year old uses. Also a little six volt Quad, for my three year old which she has outgrown. She really wants a TRUCK!!! I'm the one that wants it to be a Dodge.

MMMMM,,Sounds like someones little ones had a really good time at our little get together a few weeks ago,,KM,I hope this does not mean I'm in the doghouse cause she wants a truck,,My only question here is this,,Is she going to be able to dyno the truck at our next outing???,,I'd be willing to bet the smiles would be real wide from both driver and Pappa, and NO you may not be the appointed chauffer,,,he he he he he... ... ...
