help! my truck is bleeding

ist ATF for sure and it is coming out of the top of the steering gear box. The pump and reservoir are dry but the entire steering box is soaked. Do I need to replace the entire Box? What parts doo I need other than 52106835AE? Should I get the steering reinforcement from SOLIDSTEEL. biz

Cummins and the other engine makers have a dye that can be put in the oil... . this dye shows up with a black light as a bright green trace... . I've used it several times with great success..... I'd go to the car wash... . put fresh oil and dye in the pump and run it in the bay looking with the black light.....

Once I've figured out whats up... I'd find out what caused the seal to fail... . seals usually are the result of something, not the root cause... .

I do not have the link to the thread handy... but there is a 60 cent O-Ring that wears out between the reservoir and PS pump if you take the time to search you should find it on here

Picture #2 shows the seal between the pump and the reservoir and it is not leaking

Yeah, I was looking at that company too. It seems like I only see gearboxes for 1st and 2nd Gen trucks? Have you found anything to fit ours?

They do, give them a call. I have a buddy the order a steering box and a ram assist for his 2004 CTD and the install will go down next weekend.
