For the record, don't overload a truck with a 1985 NP205 hooked to a Cummins. The rear drive shaft and rear axle yoke tend to go BOOM when you are applying lots of power going up hill from a dead stop. Of course the NP205 is fine, but my rear drive shaft u-joint and axle yoke are in itty bitty little pieces
.
So anyone out there have a 89-93 NP205 that they would like to get rid of ? I really need the output shaft, output housing, yoke and a couple other things so the NP205 doesen't have to be good shape and I don't care if it is from a stick or auto. Please e-mail me ASAP @ -- email address removed --.
The funny thing when it happened was some guy came over and said he could call me a tow truck. I pull the remains of my drive shaft off from the splines, locked in my hubs and waved good by as I pulled away. He was standing there with his mouth open catching flies trying to figure out how my truck still moved under its own power.
Also does anyone know if I can put the larger yoke on my dana 60 ?
