2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Help no headlights!!!!!

Today at night i go to drive and no lights!!!!!!!!!!

switch is BAD maybe?.

1996 2500 auto 4x4 Cummins .

Lots of headlight switch failures. I would put my money on that.

The first time I had no headlights all the parking lights were lit. I went from dim to bright with the dimmer switch and the headlights started working. It was a bad multifunction (dimmer) switch.

Pull the switch and check the plug. One of my trucks burned up the whole switch, plug and wiring. I put a seperate switch on my truck for the headlights and run the parking lights through the stock switch.

you can also wire 70A relays (Geno's fuel solenoid relay fer instance) to control the lights from the switch. When I converted to quad lights I put a relay bank (you need two relays - one for one/off, one for hi/lo) one EACH fender fed from EACH battery (heck, we got two). That way there's minimal voltage drop from 12V to the filaments.
