2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission help on rear brakes

i been hearing a noise in the bake of the truck for a few days now but it only seems to com after i have backed up a few feet though first. it sounds like metal rubing for a second then goes a way, my question is 1 how do i check them and 2 how do i install them.

I had this on my 2500 01. it turned out to be a pad that the friction material had seperated from the steel backing. Mine started and squeeked when I was rolling forward. Just for fun we switchec it to the other rear wheel and it only squeeked in reverse.

Do you have the drum or disk 2001?
