I am leaving on a trip this morning with my bib 5th wheel in tow and discovered that my PacBrake compressor died. The motor runs but no air. It is just barely two years old. I called PacBrake just now and they said "call back in two weeks, we can't help you today"

I need a new compressor immediately. Any ideas?

they private lable the compressor. pull the sticker back, match the info on line and order from another company. (mine was defective, and while i waited for a new one i was searching for a replacement, it a common company, but pac brake puts their bracket on it> the model numbers were the same except the pac had one or two extra letters, it doesn't straight cross over, but it is the same unit. (again the braket and something else i forget. . )

I just posted on the other thread. Buy a $100 compressor and plug into a 12v source on truck or 5th wheel. Run air extension to compressor or tank. Won't be perfect but will work. At the compressor it's easy to swap out the air chuck for a valve or extension line. Extend line along frame up through the stake pocket to temp compressor in the bed. Try Schuck's/Oreilly or offroad shop for compressor. While your running an extension air line it's also a good time to run 12v fused line from battery to proposed compressor location.

My compressor also died two weeks ago. I called Pacbrake and they wanted $175. 00 for a replacement. I located a direct Viair model 275 replacement thru Auto Anything for $125. 00. Same pump. Ordered and had it in 4 days. Works fine now. Make sure the fitting in the front of the pump for the air intake is secure. The pump that failed was because the fitting came loose and allowed dirt to enter the intake of the pump which destroyed it.
