I think I'm ready to upgrade my turbo on my 05. I ditched my juice and went with a TST. I then toasted my clutch. I went ahead and got a southbend DD 3600#, going to install it sometime this week. But anyway the tubo seems to be the next step for me. I need help picking what to get. My mods are listed in my signiture.

I use this truck as my daily driver, it is the only one I have, I would rather not mess it up(to bad). I do tow with it pretty often, sometimes 20,000,so I don't need to lose a lot of spool up. I would like to be able to be able to at least try the TST on the top level, even if not for long. I'll probaly never hook to sled nor do I race often, but when my buddy pulls up next to me in his 6. 0 powerstroke I would like to suprise him.

I'd like to know pros and cons of singles verus twins, which is better for what? Cost is not as much a issue as reliabilty/driveabilty. What other issues would I need to deal with during/after this upgrade. Any info or advive is greatly appreciated

, anything that involves tst, i would reccomend the phat shaft66, or the sledpuller 66, but for towing on high numbers, only twins will keep it cool, but even at that, the water temp will catch up quickly and you will still have to get out of the throttle, tst and either of those singles, and you will be spankin that 6. 0, i dont recomend towing at high h. p. the drive train takes the strain, unless you buy a new truck every couple of years, or a lot of u-joints and synthetic oil, just kiddin, these trucks are stout, i beat mine every day...

HTB2 62 and a HT3B twin set up, works very nice. :D If going with a single I have found most are happy with the 66's. HTT's single can be had cheaper than the II... ... .

Do you like the piers setup? I like your numbers. How about drivability. I understand that I can't tow on the high hp settings so how do they do when the TST is on the lower numbers?

I have the HTB2 now and was thinking of this twin set up. How do you like it? Do you tow with it? How much cooler did it make you and what type of HP increase did you see?

With my HTB2 and all the stuff done to my truck I still can't run the TST on the higher settings. About the best I can do is 7/7 or 7/6. Anything else she still gets hot quick. I tow a bunch and I do love the HTB2 for towing. Really happy with it. And the install was under 3 hours. With my goal of 600hp to the ground, I'm going to have to do twins, that's why I'm looking into it. The HTB2 spools about the same as stock. Maybe a tick slower, nothing that'll bother you. Plus it's upgradable if you decide later you want bigger. To go from the HTB2 to the SP66 is only a $550 upgrade. Makes growing into your turbo really nice.

Both the 66's make nice high hp turbos but if you're towing frequently and cost isn't so much an issue do the twins. The 62cm HTB2 or II would be great up top, mine is a 64cm and it's a little laggier than I expected.

I like them, but they were originally on a second gen truck. So, everything except the hot pipe had to modified. I had to make a new innercooler pipe, cut and reweld the cold pipe and make a new heater line.

The twins I built are on a local guys truck. We saw a drop of about 300-350 degrees. As for the HP we had a 75 HP increase. Spool up is very nice and crisp. As for towing, he hasn't tried it yet.

Thanks IMILLS. It's the first time I've heard of someone running the HTB2 as the top. I thought it would work good and you just confirmed it.
