Got a 2003 ho auto:: The right back window broke in the down position:: All the rest of the windows work. . Seems i heard something about the switch pannel on the front left door. . Don't know how to get in there ... ... ... whats the fix???::: Blue lodge,, ::::k0wpm :::::::::::: Thanks ::::::: Doc

This happened to the drivers rear door on my 05, and on a co-workers 04. 5. There is a good chance the plug came unplugged in the door. Remove the door skin and look, thats most likely what happened.

The skin, IIRC, is pretty easy to remove. Its a screw or two and some door clips, just pry with care so you don't break them.

When the switch in the drivers control fails, it stops all the other windows from working, not just one. So I don't think thats your problem (yet). ;)

I've helped friends on other vehicles jump around the switch with temporary power to get the window back into the up position. It's not a solution, but, the problem is no longer urgent.

I am looking to check the switch assembly all 3 other windows work fine... ... ,,so does anyone know the month of the tdr magazine that discusses the window assembly problem ?? Also does anyone know how to get into the window switch assembly??? Tks doc

Have you pulled the door apart yet? It really isn't uncommon for these connectors to not be fully seated and to come off after years of use. It takes all of 5 minutes.

No i haven't taken the door off, not sure how to do that. . I did hit the switch assembly with the heel of my hand and was able to roll the window up. . I assume there is a poor connection in there . . So how do i get the door off or get to the switch assembly thanks doc

Its pretty simple. There is a single large screw behind the door handle. Take that out, then slowly pry around the edge, you will get the clips to pop out. Be very careful, then lift up and out. It should come out. If there is anything else you will see it as you go to lift the skin off.

Check the wireing harness where the door meets the jamb inbetween the hindges has been alot of people having the wire break off from flexing.
