Help please! g360 or nv4500

ok Now I have the transmission, But there is no top cover or shifter :{ What do I need now? parts from any nv4500?

And a backup switch or a plug for the hole. Man this is one depressing post. I have been caught in such before and it leaves ya wanting to puke (on somebody).



The 4500 core I have does not have that top. The shift tower is cast into the cover. What you have is a later model. I am not familar enough to say which year that was introduced.

I'd be ripping the place you bought it from a new one. All that hassle and money and STILL not a complete unit. FWIW, I think www.quad4x4.com (the place you shoulda bought from in the first place, but thats another story) should have the tower and stub and any other nv4500 parts you need.

I vote quad 4x4 as well... dan was very helpful in getting me the parts I needed to swap in the getrag, even though he is an nv4500 guy

I know you know this now, but you got hosed. Don't ever buy something that expensive from anyone on Ebay with that low of a feed back score even if it is positive.

You will need the tower, spacer, and the special shouldered bolts to hold it on. You will also need a new stick and a new knob. The place you bought this should step up and send you these parts. You still have a lot of stuff left to buy.

These kind of shops really irk me.

Hey man, ive got a brand new in the box shift handle from Advance Adapters, part #716050D. Im not sure if this is the one you need, maybe some of the more knowlegable guys can help you out on that, but if it is the right one shoot me a PM and well see if we can work something out

I got a used NV4500 off E-bay for $700 shipped to my door. I picked up the BELLHOUSING ONLY from Advanced Adaptors, for about $300 (they are pretty close so I went there to get it, got a nice tour of the place). I used a piece of 2"x3" box steal to space up the trans mount. You can use the stock transfer case lever, there is a hole taped in the side of the NV4500 that is right where the lever needs to pivot. $1000+ some oil, bolts, & welding wire..... Very simple.

if they have the trans they have the shifter

than its just a phone call this is more or less

how i found my 2nd gen engine to trans adapter

i searched under bell housing and found the spacer

let me know if i can help but you are close

as for the reverse light switch quad4x4 has them

i think around 19. 00 and you do not have to hack

up you stock wiring

Who exactly is the culprit here ? The ebay site says Performance Gear of Blackhawk, S. D. A lot of Dodge owners are reading this and need to know who to stay away from. If he dosen't make this better, he needs to find out what a bad rep he is getting with a lot of Dodge owners. I for one will steer all my acquaintances to alternate sources for parts or service. Yeah I wish I could have done a lot of things different, In the end this has been a really bad learning experiance, that I'm not sure how I'm going to fix. as of the moment I have not been able to get ahold of anyone at proformance gear, and I aparently need a lot more dough than I have to finish my project https://www.turbodieselregister.com/forums/showthread.php?t=150284

Well I still have not been able to get ahold of Proformance, there answering macine says there normal business hours are 8-5 m-f if you are calling between these hours the lines are busy (yeah right) please leave a message.



On a brighter note, I've been in contact with Auto World in Great falls MT, and they are getting me an addapter kit, and some other needed parts!

Yeah, I was looking on the bbb web site, they are not in there YET!

and I still hope to have the truck done soon barring any other problems. I just woulnt be able to fininsh it like I wanted. I had wanted to paint it and do other work, but I will get her going.

be sure its a hd 4x4 hd 4500 for a dodge diesel there are light weight gas trans out there

i put on in my 93 with a sb custom clutch and a 97 p pump at over 400 hp and 960

tqe the 4500 is great if in a stock 1 st gen go with a hs clutch if over 250 hp



stock 1 ok to 250 easy its a bolt in cut net hole in floor 5 '' towards seat

make a plate and tack or rivit it in and find excess carpet oand put over it
