Competition Help Please!

I have a 2001 24v IM running a Bluechip Redline box with a power puck timing box. What i cant figure out is i lost all bottom end smoke when im not running the redline seem to me like the power puck went out? Has anyone had this happend before ? any ideas? I dont know anyone with a 2001 to try it on... The only thing i was curious about was will an older model puck work on a 2001? Any advise would be a big help. . Oh and the puck is getting rather warm after the truck has been running a while i dont know if they have had a tendency to short out ?

I had a Van Aaken box a long time ago just quit on me, then all of a sudden come back on. I ended up selling it to a buddy, then bought it back years later and it has'nt done anything wacky since. The only thing was, the VA would only quit after being driven for more than 12hrs straight or so, and I never do that with my truck anymore.



Have you checked the truck with a code reader? Perhaps its an intermittent code that has not set the Check engine light? What I'm getting at is perhaps the injection pump could be having a few issues? Maybe it is just the heat getting to the electronics of the box? What injection pump are you running?

Im running a standard pump,and with the Redline box i have a ton of codes but the truck runs good so im out of ideas...

I'd guess the VA pooped out. have you checked al the connections?

Tim, he's got a power puck, and yeah it probably took a dump.
