OK, Here's The Deal
I plan on leaving Tues AM on a 2000+ mile trip...
So today I changed the oil, etc. , etc. and drained out 3 gal of old coolant and replaced it with 3 new gal of Cummins Compleat.
Only problem is that when I closed the cheez-whiz plastic drain valve on the radiator it keeps dripping... about 1 drop every 1-2 seconds. Now, this is with the system cold/non-pressurized, so I would guess it will spit more when it's hot.
Have any of you had this problem?
If so, what's the recommended fix? All I can think of is to take it to the dealer in the AM and have them fix it. My concern is that the dealer will tell me I need a new radiator, new hoses, clamps, thermostat, and 87 gallons of Mopar antifreeze.
