Archived HELP,Removing fuel lines from tank

I drilled a little hole into the top of the left A pillar. I knew I touched something when the dome and map lights went out. The lights were on at the time. I pulled the liner back to check the damage. Three of the four wires were nicked, but none of the wires were completely severed. I started checking things out and my radio is also dead. The radio was not on at the time. There is no display, no sound, nothing. I have checked the fuses in the fuse panel below the left A pillar and I cannot find any problems there. I am stumped. Any ideas as to what to check?

SWC When you nicked the wires I think you shorted wire to wire one or more circuit and could be that a fuse or relay in the power control box in eng comp on left front fender behind battery could be blown . Look at fuse and swap relays around , Test light and meeter would help . Cover nick on wires with tape or goop like stuff or liquid tape . I use Goop set up time small amount ten Min . There is a fuse under the dash in the fuse box i forget hat it's called and don't have the manual,but its a small fuse that supplies constant power to the radio and interior lights. Check the 5 amp fuses I'll bet you find it. ps each fuses has two small spots in them for testing with a test light touch each side and if only one side lights the light you have found the blown fuse or simply remove the fuses and visually look at the element . Hope this helps.

I think Ron is right - check the fuses in the engine compartment. I did a similar forehead-slapper when installing my TTM and that's where mine was. All the fuses in the cab/dash were fine. It was a pain to find!

I hate it when instructions say to disconnect the batteries. I hate it more when they're right...

Try the IOD (Ignition Off Draw) fuse in the dash fuse box. It's the one that has an extra plastic housing around it. I did something which killed my dome lights and radio and that fuse was the problem.
 
The fuse you blew is the Ignition Off Draw fuse in fuse box in driver's side of dash with black cover over the top. replace fuse and you will be ok. I have repaired many trucks with same problem.

Thanks for the replys. Sorry it took so long to respond.

I was in a panic that evening. The next morning, Tuesday, I planned to leave at 5 AM to take my daughter to Whitehorse in the Yukon Territories, 1650 miles one way. I checked fuses all over and could find nothing at fault because I did not know how to get access to the IOD fuse. I fiddled around till 2 in the morning knowing my plans to leave at 5 were shot. I slept but not well and went to the dealership in Saskatoon where I bought the truck. The first tech said it could be one of the computers. "Computers control everything" This guy did not work on vehicles he just had knowledge (of nothing). Then the service foreman came out, took the cover off the IOD fuse. It was blown. At 10:30 on Tuesday morning we were on our way.

I got back this morning, Saturday, at 3 AM. What a beautiful run. If you have the chance do the Alaska Highway. At this time of the year, most of the camp sites are closed. In summer, camp sites and fuel would not be a problem. The scenery is spectacular. Especially the area between Fort Nelson and Laird River in British Columbia. There were only 50 miles of highway that were narrow and I had to hold the speed down because of rough road. I was told the rest of the highway from Whitehorse to Fairbanks is also in good shape.
