2010 Dodge Ram 3500. The 6.7 has run 100k on rotella 15-40 it's whole life. Switched to the t6 and I have to dump it at 3500 miles. I have developed a mid rpm tap. When checking the oil it seems to have lost lubricity of some sort. You can just tell but running it between your fingers it's not right. I saved some for further analysis but down to brass tax. I'm ditching it.

Will be interested to see some test results of the oil to see what the issue is.

Fuel in the oil? Or coolant? CEL? T6 is a quality synthetic oil, it's not going to cause an engine related issue on it's own. I would get an oil analysis done pronto, and park the truck until you can diagnose the problem.
