help! sick transmission

In my 2003, 3500 with a 48RE my transmission is making a very loud rattling noise coming from around the torque converter, but it will momentarily quit when pulling a heavy load. But that was a couple days ago, im not driving it now because the dealership can't look at it until Monday. Anyone ever had any similiar problems? Thanks

Possable broken flex plate. Probably would'nt drive it until they look at it.

It started about a week ago and I had to pull a small dump truck yesterday, that's when it started doing it all the time, so... It will be parked until Mon. morning, when I drive it to the dealership.

Does anyone know how to contact DDubose? My truck is doing the same thing and I need to find out what was wrong with his truck... can anyone help me out before I spend 6 large w/ DTT?

Sounds like a flexplate to me. The stock ones on the 3rd gen trucks are thinner and weaker than on the 2nd gen trucks. I hope your converter is ok.
