Ok. When im drivin my truck and start to get into higher RPM in any gear, I start throwin sparks out my stacks!!#@$%!

What the heck is goin on? Is my turbo about to take a crap on me? Or is there somethin else really wrong?

My signature is current so you can see my mods.

Thanks guys,

Travis

i think the turbo is all that could do that for mechanical stuff... ... however, if your fueled heavy (sig?) and have accumulated a lot of soot in them stacks, it could just be bits of soot lighting up and flying out.

i don't even know for sure if that's possible. i just figure if your turbo was making sparks you'd hear some pretty loud screeching or something.

If you got sparks and you think it is the turbo, is your boost pressure wobbling around on ya?? Probably allot of soot built up, but I would pull the inlet to the turbo and check the impeller for axial and radial play just for the comfort factor. ;)

if that turbo has been on there longer than 20 minutes, I'm surprised it's still alive

WHy do you say that?

And im not real good with turbo's so ill have someone who knows them look at it. I dont hear any noise when this happens. But did notice I dont seem to be getting as high of boost as I used to. SO im bettin its the turbo. Not sure what else would be.

Few guys also said to make sure my valves dont need adjusted. So gonna check that today and I guess ill put the old stock turbo on for now to see if that fixes the problem:{

Thanks guys and ill keep ya posted on my findings,'

Why dont u

Sounds like the best thing to do is call JR him self. I have that same charger and is going strong for 30,000+ miles so don't belive every thing u here. JR will back his work up. Later

Just woundering have you isolated what is giving the fireworks show?

I also have seen them on farm equipment, and had an overloaded train roll through town one day. Both have started fires, and the train one was over 5 miles long.

I am pretty sure its the turbo. Never had this problem untill the turbo was on. And im not here to or trying to bash JR in any way. So I hope no one is taking it that way. All parts have problems and all parts break.

I do have ot say tho, if I was to do it again, I would go another route on turbo selection.

Thanks, Travis
