I have a 98 12v QC LB auto 4x4. The truck is currently stock. I pull a 6,000# trailer from time to time but, I'm in Florida so hills and high alt. are not problems. I'm looking for a daily driver that is quick in the quarter mile.

I have a new pdr hx 40 or a B1-2 to use as a turbo. I would like to use one of them just because I already own them.

I know the basics of what I need, gauges, injectors, kdp, turbo, exhaust, air filter, gsk. The question is which set-up works best.

I need a new transmission. I have a Suncoast complete transmission in my 95 that I am happy with but not married to. I would like to keep the budget under $10,000 parts and labor. I don't know if I can get a better deal on parts ordering everything through one person. I live in Tallahassee Florida. I would love to find someone to perform the labor as well but, I don't want to travel 10 hours to do it.

Thanks in advance for your input,

Jeff

Jeff,

Have tools, will travel LOL

The good thing is you have a 12v so you should have a problem getting some great power for under your 10g limit. Good luck on your build.

Brian,

Ill have to look you up some time, i go past lafayette twice a month on my way to chicago.

I would say do a #10, 370's, 4kgsk, the B1-2 with a 4" exhaust, some sort of air filter, and whatever transmission you like best. Suncoast, ATS, DTT, etc etc... .

My buddy has a 96 180 pump truck, ATS trans, #10, 370's, B1-2, timing at 17*, 3kgsk's, and 191 del valves and his truck runs 13. 9 in the 1/4 at 5300' altitude.

hope that helps some...
