HELP SUPERCHIP/wont start

Wonder if it gets a ORIGNAL reflash or if country is Brazil or somethere else. There was a POST about a D. C. tech going WOW never seen this before but it dosen't say USA as country. It was a South American country on one that had had the STOCK version put back in. Thats one clue to how a tech or D. C. can tell its had a program installed and removed.

After reading this post it made me nervous about installing Superchips downloader. I called CS. at Superchips they said even though mine was was new out of the box to go to the web site and download the updates. Did that, and it put in two new files. One appears to be the extreme program. Anyways I had to go over to the 5 Star ******* for a part and thought, this would be a great place to do the downloader the first time. I mean heck, if it screws up the program in the ECM, all they have to do is push it in the garage to reflash it. Anyway, it took about 8 min. to suck out the stock parameters and down load the performance tow program. All went well. The truck got a nice little kick down low and the motor sounds a little differerent, probably the timing. I'll keep all informed about gas milage and ect. Sorry about your experiance with the down loader hope all is well now.

got my ecm back yesterday installed it truck cranked and ran well but threw the code p0514 left check engine light on but went off before the end of the night what does this code mean?

P0514 Generic Battery Temperature Sensor Circuit Range/Performance



Seems minor, might check the sensor itself. Have it cleared or wait and see if it goes away on its own after many start/run sequences.
