I drill hole for thermocoupler at top of exhaust manifold and relalize I have no Tap for new hole. Anyway to thread hole without Tap, and if not cvan I atleast drive to Hardware store in morning with temp plug in hole? Any help greatly appreciated!! James

You could use a bolt with a non thread part that has a hole drilled through the hex Head to be wired around the exhaust to keep it in place use heavy wire twist several times use flat washer under bolt head to help seal in exhaust gas ,take it easy and tap the hole at the store put a plug or the fitting for the probe before going back home . Or if its not making too much racket leave it till you get back home . LOL Ron Bissett in metro Louisville KY:confused: :D

Drive another vehicle or ask a friend to take you to the store. Beats causing trouble driving with a hole in your manifold.
