HELP! Trans Gurus!

Mine is not repetitive. It only does this downshift one time at about 30mph. The conditions have to be just right to make this happen.
I will try the TV cable adjustment. The only thing I remember was that last time i did this, I spent HOURS trying to get it right.

So I should adjust the cable so it shifts 2-3 at 2800rpm at full throttle?

That is a start. You might have to adjust it to work better at part throttle rather than WOT, ie more TV at lower throttle to keep out of the shuttle zone will cause a hang shift in 2nd gear at WOT.

Did a little testing on the way home from work today. At WOT shifts fine 1-2 but won't shift 2-3 until I let off a touch. Which way should I turn?

Slide the cable sheath into the adjustment band(towards bellcrank) one notch on the sheath. I would mark the sheaths current position with a white marking pen or silver sharpie before any adjustment is made, then you know the starting point should you need to return.

Loosen the cable, or, put more slack in it. Sounds like it is throwing too much TV presure at WOT. However, testing at WOT throttle is not recomended because the ramps change. Try just 7/8 throttle for your testing.

I think I finally got the cable adjusted where it does best. Guess I should hook up trailer to test it with a load.
