I have a MP-8 that I installed in doing that I got all these codes...

Had to drive it today. ARG! Just took the codes off using the Smarty. Here goes: 6 DTC present-

DTC #1 P0405 *EGR Position Sensor Circuit Low

DTC #2 P0192 Fuel Pressure Sensor Low

DTC #3 P2281 Unknown Code

DTC #4 P000F *Fuel System Over Pressure Relief Valve Activated

DTC #5 P0340 *Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit- Bank 1 Sensor 1

DTC #6 P0652 *Sensor Reference Voltage 2 Low

Follow the prompts on the Smarty to erase and heard knock, knock when erasing. Turn key off. Updating the ECM. DTC cleared Press >. Immediately went back to check to make sure codes are gone. Smarty gave me:

DTC #1 P0192 Fuel Pressure Sensor Low

DTC #2 P0652 Sensor Reference Voltage Low

Erase DTC. Heard knock, knock. Turned key off. Updating ECM. DTC cleared Press>.

I followed the directions for the MP-8 install to the T. I'm confused so I thought put it back to stock. These are the codes I am getting after taking everything back off and putting everything back to original. This was going to be my first addition to the truck. (I have a Smarty and Turbo back CAT and DPF delete exhaust). I don't know now I'm gun shy to even do anything I now have a new fuel pressure sensor coming and I have a Dr. Performance fuel rail relief valve/plug. Looking for advice. SHould I also get a camshaft position sensor? I am frustrated! Is this something that we can work through or should I get this thing to the dealer and suck it up or have one of the Diesel shops like -Thoroughbred- fix it? Thanks for your help!!!!

I don't see how the mp-8 could cause all those codes except for the pressure relief valve. Did you shim the fuel rail? The knocking is normal when clearing codes.

I don't either. I did shim the valve. Everything is now removed. I am going to try again with the Dr. Performance valve and we will see. Thanks for your response. The adventure continues.

I finally took it to the dealer under warranty they replaced the fuel pressure sensor. I think that when I did the initial hookup I didn't get everything fully seated. Wow it was a mess.
