Sitting Still, I Have A Vibration Idleing. . When I Touch The Fuel Pedal ( Not Gas Right) The Vibes Go Away... i Can Be Moving Down The Street And Idleing Along And Feel It And As Soon As I Give It Fuel It Stops... it Is Quite Noisy At Times... to Me It Acts Like The Fuel Pump?? Any Idea's Doc...

I believe there is a TSB on this... something about the power steering pump hoses... one of them will have a "C" shaped weight on it if the TSB has been done.

If you have installed anything on the frame of your truck and it touches the engine then that would cause that problem. I remember when I installed my dual by-pass oil filters and they touched a part of the engine cause that same vibration that you described.

thanks wayne, however, i can't think of a thing . i have a bright back up kit on the rear but this thing vibrated the day i bought it in oct 03... i do need to look under the hood and see if i can find something loose next to the engine, ,,right now its snowing big time in north central kansas , so will wait a bit. . any other idea's out there??? DOC

My truck also has a terrible vibration noise at idle that goes away if you blip the pedal. I've traced it back to the transmission fluid dipstick vibrating and transmitting noise into the cab.

I think it's normal idle engine vibration. I can feel mine through the wheel and the seat at idle. I've heard 12 valves and 2nd gen engines can rattle change in the cupholders at idle while in drive.

Since it's done this since new, I'm even more inclined to believe it's normal. If it ain't broke, don't fix it... and try not to get paranoid about it either! ;)
